Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has been granted bail following his one week remand in the Ankaful Prison.

Shatta Wale and three other accomplices were remanded by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, on their first appearance in court. They have since been granted bail GH C 100,000 each after their reappearance in court today, October, 26.

Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, after faking a gunshot attack on him. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of the publication of false news and causing fear and panic

His accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator were also charged for abetment of crime. They also pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Their next hearing in court is slated for November, 9th

According to Mayfair, before they met as friends, she had never met anyone with her husband’s condition.

Medikal arrested for brandishing gun on social media

Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal, has been arrested for brandishing a gun in a video on social media.

Medikal was with his wife, Fella Makafui, at the Accra Regional Police Command charge office.

He was brought to the station by police and is currently in police custody.

One of the lawyers who represented Shatta Wale, Jerry Avenogbor, was sighted at the police command but it remains unclear if he is going to represent Medikal in this case.

This comes a few hours after dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and four other people were remanded into police custody following an alleged gun attack that turned out to be a hoax.

They were remanded by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, during their first appearance in court.

Medikal was at the court premises to offer support to Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale was picked up by the police for spreading false news about an assassination attempt at his residence in Accra on October 19, 2021.

Ruweida Yakubu, the wife of former Black Stars player, Odartey Lamptey, has opened up on how she deals with the issues surrounding the latter and his ex-wife.

According to her, as a woman in the middle of such a situation, it was not pleasant but she still tried to perform her duty as a wife.

“I am a human being. I have feelings and when the whole divorce brouhaha started, I was also sad for him. I tried to encourage him and asked him to be patient, supporting him and helping him with prayers to help him out of his challenges,” she said.

The wife, who is now into tennis, said in this whole brouhaha, she and her husband have been able to lay low and take things slowly.

VIDEO: Man Unknowingly Performs Ablution With Sulphuric Acid After Using Public Washroom

A Muslim man has been hospitalised after he unknowingly performed ablution with sulphuric acid kept in one of the cans at a public washroom.

The man whose name was only given as Tijani is said to be a cobbler who plies his trade around the Kumasi Central Market.

It is reported that he went to use a public washroom around the area and as per his tradition, used what he thought was water to rinse his genitals.

People rushed to his aid when they heard him crying for help and sent him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Two people have since been arrested by the police to assist investigations.

A few days ago, the “Taxi Driver” actor disclosed in an interview that he can’t pay his electricity bills.

TT told Citi TV that officials of ECG initially brought a bill of GH¢4,500 — a piled-up figure he owed over a period of time.

He said he had earlier paid a bill of GH¢2100, presented to him by the power distribution company.

“They came to disconnect my electricity. They said I was owing GH¢4,000. How? You’ve not been bringing us bills, so what are you saying? They said, ‘well, you are owing. We went to the ECG office and I said what kind of job is this? You’ve not been bringing us the bill, and now you are telling us we are owing [this much] and you’ve come to disconnect us,” he told Citi TV.

Reacting to the interview, some Twitter users have asked the actor join “Squid Game” — Netflix’s record-breaking hit series.

Kasoa: Jealous Gay Man Stabs Lover For Cheating

Two Gay lovers have been arrested by the Kasoa New Market Police after one inflicted cutlass wounds on his partner for allegedly cheating on him.

The suspects are prince Nyator 22, and Evans Amoah 23 years. The incident happened Thursday evening around 6:30 PM.

A Police source indicates that both lovers work in a restaurant at Kasoa New Market but Prince found out that Evans had a girlfriend which provoked him to attack and stab him.

In an interview with EIB Network’s Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan, one of the restaurant workers who witnessed the incident revealed that Prince became angry after Evans Amoah consistently denied him sex.

An investigation conducted by Boagyan revealed that Evans had a girlfriend before meeting his gay partner.

The report revealed that his jealous gay partner always asked him about his girlfriend but Evans consistently denied it.
