Shatta Wale and three other accomplices were remanded by an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, on their first appearance in court. They have since been granted bail GH C 100,000 each after their reappearance in court today, October, 26. Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, after faking a gunshot attack on him. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of the publication of false news and causing fear and panic His accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator were also charged for abetment of crime. They also pleaded not guilty to the charge. The man whose name was only given as Tijani is said to be a cobbler who plies his trade around the Kumasi Central Market. It is reported that he went to use a public washroom around the area and as per his tradition, used what he thought was water to rinse his genitals.   People rushed to his aid when they heard him crying for help and sent him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he is receiving treatment. The suspects are prince Nyator 22, and Evans Amoah 23 years. The incident happened Thursday evening around 6:30 PM. A Police source indicates that both lovers work in a restaurant at Kasoa New Market but Prince found out that Evans had a girlfriend which provoked him to attack and stab him. In an interview with EIB Network’s Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan, one of the restaurant workers who witnessed the incident revealed that Prince became angry after Evans Amoah consistently denied him sex. An investigation conducted by Boagyan revealed that Evans had a girlfriend before meeting his gay partner.
